Congratulations to Chipinge Town Council for winning the outstanding urban local authority during the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce Manicaland Business Awards held at Holiday Inn Hotel on Friday 31 May 2024. The Honourable Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services; Dr Jenfan Muswere was the Guest of Honor. The Honourable Minister of Provincial Affairs and Devolution; Advocate Misheck Mugadza also graced the occasion. The awards ceremony was held under the theme, "Unlocking New Frontiers for Sustainable Industrialisation and Climate Smart Business Growth."

Thank you to all Chipinge Town Council Councillors, residents, stakeholders, management and staff. The award belongs to you all. Without the active participation of each and every one of you, the impact of the Town would not have been felt far and beyond our area of jurisdiction. CTC Wins Outstanding Urban Local Government Award

On the 7th of May 2024 ZEGU conducted a ground breaking ceremony as to pave way for the Construction of Ezekiel Guti Christian secondary school and satellite ZEGU campus at their stand in Chipinge St Kelvin area. Setting out for the Administration block has already been done where it is anticipated that by September 2024 developments will be at an advanced stage. Leading the ground breaking ceremony was Professor Una Guti, Archbishop John Guti and other ZEGU high profile names. The DDC for Chipinge Mr W Mashava and CTC officials also attended the ground breaking ceremony. CTC really appreciated the move by ZEGU as a development partner. Completion of the facility will uplift Chipinge.

Chipinge Town Council conducted a stakeholders meeting on presentation and validation of the report of study for the Master Plan on Monday 20 May 2024. Various stakeholders attended the meeting where they concured to the report findings hence adopted the report of the study. Conuncil is working in view to have completed the Master plan by 30 June 2024
